VAT / Small business regulation
In its internal relationship with its payment service provider, Amoria applies the small business regulation pursuant to § 19 of the German VAT Act (UStG) and does not show VAT separately on its own invoices.
The software "Kobel" is sold to end customers via our website (Windows version) through Paddle.com Market Ltd. as Merchant of Record. In those cases Paddle acts as the seller towards the end customer and shows, charges, and remits the applicable VAT / sales tax / GST on its own responsibility.
For purchases made through the Mac App Store, the relevant Apple entity (for customers in Europe usually Apple Distribution International Ltd., Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland) acts as Merchant of Record. In that case Apple handles the payment processing, the tax statement, and the invoicing on its own responsibility; you receive your receipts and invoices directly from Apple.
